30th General Assembly

On April 04, 2024, our 30th General Assembly took place in the cinema hall of the Zoological Museum of the University of Zurich.   

The president, Lukas Keller, was able to welcome over 50 members that evening and present the 2023 annual report. He then explained the 2023 annual financial statement and presented the auditors' report and the 2024 budget.    

After a short break, Dr. Amy MacLeod from the University of Leipzig gave an interesting and engaging presentation on how to count the endemic marine iguanas using drones launched from a boat. The resulting films and images are then made available on the “Zooniverse” internet platform. Anyone interested can help to count the animals.  

During the drinks reception that followed, all participants had the opportunity to ask many questions or exchange experiences.  

Like last year, it was an event that everyone enjoyed.
