  • Call for project proposals

The Association Friends of the Galápagos Islands Switzerland was founded in 1984 with the aim of
protecting the ecosystem of the Galápagos Islands, preserving it in the long term, and helping to finance
research projects for the conservation of the islands. The association also aims to raise
awareness of the uniqueness of the Galápagos Islands among the local population through comprehensive
information and to encourage people to contribute to nature conservation.

Over the last 30 years, thanks to our members and donors, our association has been able to support important long-term projects on the archipelago and thus contribute to the research and protection of the flora and fauna on the islands.

    Call for project proposals

Due to the 30th anniversary of our association this year and thanks to a generous legacy from a member, we are looking for a nature conservation or research project on the Galapagos Islands which we would like to support over the next few years in the name of the legacy and the anniversary. We especially encourage young researchers from Galapagos or Ecuador to submit project proposals to us as well.
