Giant tortoise takes a dip in the sea
The biologist and nature guide Leandro Vaca Pita, who lives on San Christobal, was able to photograph a Galápagos giant tortoise on its bathing excursion on the beach of Cerro Brujo.
Until now, such behavior was only known from the Aldabra giant tortoises. They cool off in the sea because there is little shady vegetation on the Aldabra Archipelago. In any case, Leonardo's pictures are very interesting.
